Iran’s IRGC soldier killed in Syria
Iran, which supports Bashar al-Assad regime, maintains military presence in Syria

ISTANBUL
An Iranian soldier from the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) was killed in Syria, according to Iranian media on Monday.
The semi-official Fars News Agency identified the soldier as Yahya Rostami, who was killed on August 31.
The agency, however, did not give further details about the circumstances of his death.
Iran, which supports the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad, maintains a military presence in Syria, which often comes under US and Israeli airstrikes.
