Houthi rebels say 2 members killed in Yemen clashes
Yemen’s warring rivals failed to extend UN-brokered truce last month
SANAA, Yemen
Yemen’s Houthi rebel group said Saturday two members were killed in clashes with government forces.
The Houthi-run Saba news agency said two rebel officers were killed in the western province of al-Hudayday in clashes with government forces.
No further details were provided by the agency.
Last month, the Houthi group and Yemeni government failed to extend a UN-brokered truce, which expired on Oct. 2.
Yemen has been engulfed by violence and instability since 2014, when Iran-aligned Houthi rebels captured much of the country, including the capital, Sanaa.
