GAZA CITY, Palestine
A Hamas member was killed in eastern Yemen, the Palestinian resistance group confirmed on Saturday.
Salim Ahmed Marouf, 36, was shot dead at a security checkpoint in Marib province on Friday, the group said in a statement.
Hamas said Marouf had lived in Yemen for more than 15 years, calling on Yemeni authorities to launch an investigation into his killing.
No further details were available about the circumstances of the Hamas member's death or what he was doing in Yemen, which fell into civil war in 2014 when Houthi rebels overran much of the country, including capital Sanaa.
