Explosions heard in Tehran amid US-Israel attacks
Iranian media say multiple cities, including Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom also targeted overnight
ISTANBUL
A series of explosions were heard in Iran’s capital as US-Israel attacks continued, Iranian media said Sunday.
The Fars News Agency said explosions were reported in various parts of Tehran.
Several cities, including Isfahan, Tabriz and Qom were also targeted in attacks overnight, according to Iran-based Nournews.
Regional escalations have continued to rage since Israel and the US launched an offensive against Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,300 people to date, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure, while disrupting global markets and aviation.
