Bahrain said Monday that its air defenses had intercepted and destroyed 182 missiles and 398 drones targeting the kingdom since the start of Iranian attacks last month.
The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force, however, did not give details about any injuries or damage from the attacks.
Bahraini authorities had denounced the Iranian attacks as a “flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter,” and a “direct threat to regional peace and security.”
The Gulf countries, including Bahrain, have come under missile and drone attacks from Iran since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive against Tehran on Feb. 28. The attacks have caused casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, including airports, ports, and various buildings.
