Bahrain on Tuesday demanded of the Houthis to hand over those responsible for Monday's drone attack on Saudi Arabia's southern border with Yemen, which killed two of its servicemen. 

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited the military headquarters, where he was welcomed by the army leadership, which extended condolences over the loss of the fallen servicemen, the official Bahrain News Agency reported.

The monarch said the servicemen demonstrated the "most profound example of heroism and loyalty," and expressed appreciation for countries which condoled and expressed solidarity against this "act of aggression."

During the meeting it was pointed out that if the Houthis denounced those behind the act during the ongoing UN truce, "then they must arrest them and hand them over to Bahrain or the Arab coalition so that the necessary legal action would be taken against them."

There was no comment from the Houthis, but Arab media said the group expressed “regret” for what it called “violations of the UN truce.”

Yemen has been engulfed by violence and instability since 2014, when the Iranian-aligned Houthi rebels captured much of the country, including the capital Sanaa, prompting Arab states to intervene.
