Baghdad’s Green Zone comes under attack: Army spokesman
Attack perpetrators still unknown, according to military officials

BAGHDAD
The Green Zone in Iraqi capital Baghdad came under artillery attack yesterday evening by as-yet-unknown perpetrators, Iraqi Defense Ministry officials said Friday.
Baghdad’s Green Zone is home to Iraq’s parliament and other vital government institutions, along with numerous foreign embassies and diplomatic missions.
According to a tweet by Brigadier-General Yahya Rasoul, an Iraqi army spokesman, the projectiles fell in a vacant part of the zone without causing casualties or material damage.
The perpetrators of Thursday’s attack reportedly remain unknown.
