Industry Minister Sifi Ghriebh appointed as acting prime minister

ISTANBUL
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune sacked Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui on Thursday.
A decree released by Tebboune appointed Industry Minister Sifi Ghrieb as acting prime minister, the presidency said in a statement.
No details were yet available about the reason for the dismissal of Larbaoui, who was appointed prime minister in November 2023.
