Jordan closes 2nd terminal due to pandemic
Virus cases started to rise again in Jordan, especially at border crossings

AMMAN
Jordanian authorities on Wednesday decided to close al-Omari border crossing with Saudi Arabia after recording about 18 cases of coronavirus among the terminal's workers.
The closure was reported by local media, including Al-Ghad newspaper.
The move came a week after the Jordanian authorities closed the Jaber crossing with Syria on Thursday over the outbreak.
Coronavirus cases have started to rise again in Jordan especially at border crossings, prompting the authorities to tighten up precautionary measures.
As of Tuesday evening, the total number of virus cases in Jordan reached 1,438, including 11 deaths, and 1,260 recoveries.
