Turkey sent a diplomatic note to Germany expressing concern over rising attacks by YPG/PKK terror group supporters on Turkish representatives, organizations and community in the country, Ankara's ambassador said Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters in Berlin, Ali Kemal Aydin condemned the acts of violence by YPG/PKK terrorist organization supporters in Germany.

Turkey sent a diplomatic note to the German Foreign Ministry demanding the security of Turkish institutions and businesses, he said.

Turkey on Oct. 9 launched Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria to secure its borders by eliminating terrorist elements and to ensure the safe return of Syrian refugees and Syria’s territorial integrity.

Ankara wants to clear east of the Euphrates River of the terrorist PKK and its Syrian offshoot, the YPG.

Aydin also added that terror supporters target Turks and their businesses on social media.

"We expect the federal and state security authorities to take more measures for public peace," he told reporters.

At least 15 people were injured in 17 attacks in Germany since Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria began.

Turkey's Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu and his German counterpart Horst Seehofer held a phone call to discuss the safety of Turkish people in Germany, according to the envoy.

Aydin also stressed that perpetrators of the violent attacks should be brought to justice.

Criticizing German media's attitude toward Operation Peace Spring, Aydin said: "We're seeing a lot of fake news, manipulation and even propaganda campaign since the operation began. In addition to one-sided news and comments, we do not accept German politicians' statements about the operation."

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the European Union -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
