Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Saturday pointed to the "high price" the world is paying due to the ongoing wars in Iran and Ukraine.

"We all pay a high price for Israel and the US' war on Iran, as well as Russia's on Ukraine. Not just at the gas station," Tusk wrote on the US social media platform X.

He reaffirmed that the Polish government is responding to the crisis through "tough but responsible decisions" along with the "nation's unity around security issues."

The US and Israel on Feb. 28 launched an air offensive on Iran which has so far killed over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
