Switzerland 'willing' to use good offices for peace in Ukraine

ISTANBUL

Switzerland is "willing" to use its good offices to push for peace in Ukraine, the Swiss president said on Thursday during a meeting with Ukraine's prime minister.

"President Karin Keller-Sutter took the opportunity to provide information on Switzerland's support for Ukraine and emphasized the country's willingness to use its good offices to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine based on international law, including the Charter of the United Nations," the government's statement read.

Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter hosted Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko in Bern, Switzerland's capital, where they discussed the peace process and Ukraine's reconstruction.
