Pilot dies when Greek jet fighter crashes into Aegean
Mirage 2000-5 aircraft goes down near Skyros Island

ATHENS
The pilot died when a Greek fighter jet on Thursday crashed into the Aegean Sea, according to Greece's defense minister.
Panos Kammenos announced on his Twitter account that the Greek military pilot died when the jet crashed around 12:15 local time (0915GMT).
He also wished condolences to the family of the late pilot.
Earlier, the Defense Ministry said the Mirage 2000-5 aircraft went down northeast of Skyros Island, east of the Eyvia peninsula, northeast of Athens.
