PARIS

Belgian police have arrested four people over the 2015 foiled attack on a Thalys high-speed train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris, according to Belgian federal prosecutors on Monday.

The suspects, who were arrested following six raids in Brussels and elsewhere in Belgium "were taken in for questioning", before an investigating judge decides whether to take further action against them, the prosecutors said.

On Aug. 21, 2015, passengers overpowered a heavily armed man aboard the Thalys train in northern France, thwarting a terror attack. The man was captured with an AK-47 assault rifle and 270 rounds of ammunition on him.
