Türkiye records hottest July in last 53 years
Temperatures are expected to rise starting from next Monday, says Türkiye's environment, urbanization and climate change minister

Türkiye recorded the hottest July in the last 53 years, the country's environment, urbanization and climate change minister said on Thursday.
Murat Kurum said on X that the highest temperature of 45.9 C (114.62 F) was detected in the Cizre district of the southeastern Sirnak province, and the lowest temperature of 5.2 C (41.36 F) was detected in the eastern Erzurum province.
Stressing that the temperatures are expected to rise starting from next Monday, Kurum called on citizens to be more cautious.
