Turkey's oil imports decreased by 5 percent in April 2016, compared to the same month in 2015, Turkish Energy Regulatory Market (EMRA) data showed on Thursday.
The country’s oil imports reached 1.9 million tonnes in April 2015.
The total production of refined petroleum products, including diesel and gasoline, increased by 1.6 percent to 2.1 million tonnes in April, compared to April 2015.
During the same period, Turkey's gasoline exports decreased by 15.8 percent to 201 thousand tonnes, while diesel exports increased to 104 percent to 5.8 thousand tonnes and aviation fuel exports saw a 7 percent fall to 267 thousand tonnes.
In April 2016, total petroleum product sales in the country increased by 14 percent to 2.2 million tonnes.
