Local media claims the oil price are increased by Turkey's energy watchdog said Mustafa Yilmaz, Energy Market Regulatory Authority’s president on Saturday.

"I do not defend high tax price as Turkey is an oil dependent country however somebody try to harm the reputation of the corporation" said, Yilmaz.
He also said Turkey's energy sector is one of the fastest growing among the OECD countries. Turkey's electricity and natural gas demand are at the same level with Asia Pacific region. Yilmaz also announced that EMRA would accept the wind license application in this month.
Oil prices have declined constantly worldwide since June 2014. Turkey's energy watchdog, took a decision in late February to regulate gasoline and diesel pricing with the introduction of ceiling prices. The decision gives the watchdog authority to implement price ceiling when profit margins exceed the margins.
