Türkiye's energy import bill decreased by 3.2% to $5.07 billion in April compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Thursday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $5.23 billion last April.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $32.89 billion.
At $5.07 billion, energy accounted for 15.4% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in April.
Crude oil imports saw a 5% increase to 2.88 million tons in April 2025, compared to 2.74 million tons in April 2024.
