Türkiye's energy import bill decreased by 27.9% to $5.37 billion in October compared to the same month of 2022, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Wednesday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $7.45 billion in October 2022.
The data shows that the overall import bill in October, including energy and other items, totaled $29.39 billion.
At $5.37 billion, energy accounted for 18.2% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in October.
Crude oil imports in October showed a 2% increase to 2.94 million tons of crude, compared to 2.88 million tons in October last year.
