Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.90% to 764,547 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 36,294 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,539 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production totaled 770,448 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.03% increase compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 206,623 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and Hydroelectricity followed with 180,058 megawatt-hours and 149,642 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,106 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 2,205 megawatt-hours.
