NEW YORK
The stock market opened higher Monday with gains in technology companies' stocks.
The Dow added 63 points to begin trading at 21,447 points, and the S&P 500 rose nine points to 2,442.
The Nasdaq increase was up 45 points to start the day at 6,197 points.
At the first bell, e-commerce giant Amazon saw its shares gain 1.25 percent.
Apple and Microsoft stock prices increased by 1.7 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively.
