The US and Greece on Thursday agreed to enhance energy investments and regional cooperation.

US Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette met Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Maximos Mansion in Athens Thursday to discuss further strengthening the US energy investments in Greece.

Athens and Washington agreed that energy cooperation is one of the six priorities in the Greece-US Strategic Dialogue.

Brouillette later wrote on Twitter that it was an “honor” to meet the Greek prime minister to discuss “Greece's success at promoting regional cooperation & shared prosperity through energy.”

“We are committed to supporting projects like TAP [Trans Adriatic Pipeline], Alexandroupoli FSRU [Floating Storage Regasification Unit], IGB [Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria], & Greece's role in East Med Gas Forum & Three Seas Initiative,” he added.
