UK's unemployment stable at 4.4% in February
There were around 1.57M unemployed persons in UK as of February, say official statistics

UK unemployment was at 4.4% in February, unchanged from the previous month, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Tuesday.
There are around 1.574 million unemployed people – age 16 and older – in the UK, the office said.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate was above estimates of a year ago, but largely unchanged in the latest quarter, it noted.
The country’s employment rate was at 75.1%, and the number of employed persons was at 33.9 million as of February.
The economic inactivity rate in the country was at 21.4%.
The ONS also said employees' average earnings rose 5.9% in the country, below estimates of 6.0%.
Average weekly earnings in February were estimated at £670 ($883.7).
