UK unemployment rate at 5.1%
Unemployment in UK sees no decline in last 17 months

ISTANBUL
The unemployment rate in the UK was at 5.1% in the September-November 2025 period, up 0.3 percentage points from the June-August period, according to official figures.
The unemployment rate was at 4.6% for men and 5.5% for women, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Tuesday.
The rate was 4.4% in the same period of 2024, and there has been no drop in the unemployment rate over the past 17 months.
The number of unemployed people, aged 16 and over, was 1.84 million in the country.
Employment rate in the country was at 75.1% in the September-November period, up from 74.9% from the previous quarter.
The number of employed people was 34.3 million.
