Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul up at open
BIST 100 index gains around 5.7 points at opening session versus previous close
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,662 points on Tuesday, up by 0.21%, or 5.68 points, from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 2.42% to finish at an all-time high closing of 2,656.32 points, with a daily trading volume of 35.6 billion liras ($2 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 17.9483 as of 10.14 a.m. local time (0714GMT) versus 17.9410 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate decreased to 18.3732 from 18.4130, while a British pound traded for 21.9114 Turkish liras, down from 22.0640 at the previous close.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $99.58 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,789.55.
