Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul flat at Thursday's open
BIST 100 index loses 1.17 points from previous close

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,400.80 points on Thursday, slightly down by 0.05%, or 1.17 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 3.55% to 2,401.96 points at Wednesday's close, with a daily trading volume of 36.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.2 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 16.5988 as of 10.22 a.m. local time (0722GMT) from 16.6400 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 17.3670 from 17.4310, while a British pound traded for 20.2081 Turkish liras, up from 20.1990 at the previous close.
Brent crude oil sold for around $111.98 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,817.65.
