Türkiye's BIST 100 index up at midweek close
Benchmark index earns around 32.6 points on Wednesday
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 14,259.90 points, up 0.23% from the previous close.
Starting the third transaction day of the week at 14,260.82 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 32.61 points from the previous close.
The index's lowest value during the day was 14,154.24, while its daily high was 14,532.67.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 14.17 trillion Turkish liras ($324.7 billion), with a daily trading volume of 293.1 billion Turkish liras ($6.7 billion).
During the day, 28 stocks on the index rose and 69 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $5,003.50, while Brent crude oil sold for around $68.95 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.7605 and the euro/lira exchange rate was 51.7420, while the British pound traded at 59.2965 liras.
