Türkiye's BIST 100 index opens Friday flat
Benchmark index earns 5.06 points at opening bell
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened the last trading day of the week at 10,923.58 points, slightly up 0.05%, or 5.06 points, from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 dropped 1.07% to close at 10,918.51 points, with a daily transaction volume of 129.6 billion liras ($3.05 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.5340 liras to the US dollar, 49.6230 to the euro, and 56.8185 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,225.75, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.05 per barrel.
