Türkiye's BIST 100 index hits another record high at weekly close
Benchmark index earns around 113 points
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week on Friday at 12,200.95 points, up 0.93%, hitting another historic high.
After starting the day at 12,130.19 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 112.98 points from Thursday's close.
The lowest value of the index was 12,065.99, while the daily high was 12,200.95.
The market value of the BIST 100 was around 12 trillion Turkish liras ($280.7 billion), with a trading volume of 157 billion liras ($3.65 billion).
A total of 52 stocks on the index rose and 46 dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $4,505.90 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $63.2 per barrel as of 7.15 pm local time (1615GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.1410, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 50.2500, and the British pound traded for 57.9180 liras.
