Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the week at 6,687.78 points, a slight rise of 0.08% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 6,688.10 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 5.67 points from the previous close.

The index hiked 3.88% on a weekly basis as of Friday's close.

The lowest value of the index during the day was 6,617.69, while its daily high was 6,724.42.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 5.7 trillion Turkish liras ($212.5 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 123 billion Turkish liras ($4.58 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,962.55, while Brent crude oil sold for around $80.50 per barrel as of 6.33 p.m. local time (1533GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 26.9378, the euro/lira exchange rate was 29.9721, and the British pound traded at 34.6111 Turkish liras.
