Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Tuesday with record high

ISTANBUL

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at a new all-time high of 13,875.32 points, climbing 1.87%.

After starting the day at 13,725.45 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 254.37 points from Monday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 13,660.78, while the daily high was 13,926.55.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 13.76 trillion Turkish liras ($316.9 billion), with a trading volume of 249 billion liras ($5.72 billion).

Some 83 stocks on the index rose and 16 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,922.85 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $66.75 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.4850, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 51.3750, and the British pound traded for 59.5870 liras.
