Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Monday flat
Benchmark index earns around 6 points on 1st transaction day of week
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 9,395.39 points, up slightly by 0.06% from the previous close.
Starting the new week at 9,419.42 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 5.77 points from Friday's close.
The index's lowest value during the day was 9,315.27, while its daily high was 9,445.30.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 8.24 trillion Turkish liras ($2401. billion), with a daily trading volume of 81 billion Turkish liras ($2.34 billion).
During the day, 52 stocks on the index rose and 44 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,613.05, while Brent crude oil sold for around $72.90 per barrel as of 7.20 pm local time (1620GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.6135, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 36.6090, and a British pound traded for 43.7770 Turkish liras.
