Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Monday down
Benchmark index falls 371.38 points in closing session
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 13,346.43 points, down 2.71% from its previous close.
After starting the week at 12,987.42 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 371.38 points from Friday's close.
The lowest value of the index was 12,987.42, while the daily high was 13,456.56.
The market value of the BIST 100 was around 13.21 trillion Turkish liras ($301.7 billion), with a trading volume of 186.2 billion liras ($4.23 billion).
Some 14 stocks on the index rose and 86 dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $5,334.05 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $78.5 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.9485, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 51.4805, and the British pound traded for 58.9195 liras.
