Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 12,709.29 points, up slightly by 0.09% or 11.1 points.

At the last week's close, the BIST 100 fell by 0.23% to 12,698.19 points, with a daily transaction volume of 112 billion liras ($2.52 billion).

As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), exchange rates stood at 44.4680 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 51.2180 to the euro, and 58.9840 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,531.60, while Brent crude futures were trading at $115.8 per barrel.
