ISTANBUL

Turkiye’s benchmark stock index was slightly down 0.05% to end Wednesday at 2,393.61 points.


After starting the midweek at 2,390.78 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 1.22 points from the previous close of 2,394.83 points.

The index’s lowest value during the day was 2,382.07 points, while its daily high was 2,411.57 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1.94 trillion Turkish liras ($123 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 34.07 billion Turkish liras ($2.614 billion).

During the third transaction day of the week, 30 stocks on the index rose, 65 fell, and five were unchanged compared to the previous close.

IT firm ARD Bilisim was the best performer of the day with its shares up by 9.98%, while software producer Logo suffered the most, losing 3.95%.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,813.9 and Brent crude oil was at roughly $109.8 per barrel as of 6.26 p.m. local time (1526GMT).
