Turkish stock exchange up at weekly open
BIST 100 gains around 49.8 points
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock opened Monday at 10,974.29 points, increasing 0.46% or 49.76 points.
On Friday, the BIST 100 was down 1.34% and closed at 10,924.53 points, with a daily transaction volume of 144.7 billion Turkish liras ($3.42 billion).
As of 10.20 am local time (0720GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.2290 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.7950 to the euro, and 55.5260 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,073.40, while Brent crude oil traded at $63.95 per barrel.
