Turkish stock exchange up at Tuesday's open
BIST 100 index gains 104.5 points
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 13,725.45 points, increasing by 0.77% or 104.5 points from the previous close.
On Monday, the BIST 100 fell 1.57% to close at 13,620.95 points, with a daily transaction volume of 236.8 billion liras ($5.44 billion).
As of 10.15 am local time (0715GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.4960 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 51.4440 to the euro, and 59.5990 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,884.4, while Brent crude oil was trading at $65.8 per barrel.
