ANKARA
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,079.84 points, rising 0.53% or 48.02 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 2.18% to 9,031.82 points, with a daily transaction volume of 84 billion liras ($2.43 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 34.5064 as of 9.55 a.m. (0655GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.3862, and the GBP/TRY traded at 43.6597.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,663.25, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $73.18 per barrel.
