ISTANBUL 

Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Friday at 9,986.53 points, marking an increase of 0.11% or 10.92 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, the BIST 100 index was up by 2.06% to 9,975.61 points, with a daily transaction volume of 85 billion Turkish liras ($2.49 billion).

As of 11.05 a.m. (0805GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.1120, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 38.0860, while the GBP/TRY rate was 45.4090.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,606.3, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $73.80 per barrel.
