Turkish stock exchange up at open
BIST 100 index earns around 37.6 points at opening session
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Tuesday at 9,737.17 points, marking an increase of 0.39% or 37.61 points from the previous close.
On Monday, the BIST 100 index decreased by 0.73% to 9,699.56 points, with a daily transaction volume of 66 billion Turkish liras ($1.94 billion).
As of 10.00 a.m. (0700GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.0295, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.6410, while the GBP/TRY rate was 44.6530.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,505.35, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $71.30 per barrel.
