Turkish stock exchange up at open
BIST 100 index earns around 113.4 points at opening session
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened Thursday at 10,751.99 points, marking an increase of 1.07% or 113.41 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index fell by 0.50% to 10,638.58 points, with a daily transaction volume of 94 billion Turkish liras ($2.82 billion).
As of 10.15 a.m. (0715GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.1175. The EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.9545, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.4280.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,443.95, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $81.20 per barrel.
