Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,962.46 points, up 0.47% or 46.24 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index surged 2.52% to close at 9,916.22 points, with a daily transaction volume of 59.2 billion liras ($1.68 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 35.2901 as of 09.57 a.m. (0657GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.6946, and the GBP/TRY traded at 44.2560.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,641.41 and the price of Brent crude oil was around $73.23 per barrel.
