Turkish stock exchange flat at Tuesday's open

ISTANBUL

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 12.261,38 points, increasing slightly by 0.05% or 6.56 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 rose 0.44% to close at 12,254.83 points, hitting a record high closing point, with a daily transaction volume of 174 billion liras ($4.04 billion).

As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.1410 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 50.3320 to the euro, and 58.1510 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,584.80, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.95 per barrel.
