Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9,658.93 points, down 0.38 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 rose 1.82% to 9,659.31 points, with a daily transaction volume of 98.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.5 billion).


As of 10.05 a.m. local time (0705GMT), exchange rates stood at 39.1865 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 44.7560 to the euro, and 52.8090 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,336.98, while Brent crude oil was trading at $66.70 per barrel.
