Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Thursday at 9,004.60 points, down slightly 0.02% or 1.95 points from the previous close.

On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index rose 0.68% to 9,006.55 points, with a daily transaction volume of 69.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.02 billion).

As of 09.50 am (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 34.2550 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 37.1860 for the euro, and 44.4430 for the British pound.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,783.77, and Brent crude oil traded at $72.50 per barrel.
