Turkish stock exchange down at open
BIST 100 index falls around 20.5 points at opening session on Thursday

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9.839,83 points, down by 0.21% or 20.46 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 was down sharply by 8.72% to 9,860.29 points, with a daily transaction volume of 171 billion liras ($4.5 billion).
As of 10.15 am local time (0715GMT), exchange rates stood at 37.9970 liras to the US dollar, 41.3545 to the euro, and 49.3380 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,046.40, while Brent crude oil was trading at $70.80 per barrel.
