Turkish stock exchange down at midweek's open
Benchmark BIST 100 index drops 24.42 points at opening session

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9.369,37 points, down 0.26% or 24.42 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 fell by 0.32% to 9,393.79 points, with a daily transaction volume of 89.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.33 billion).
As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), exchange rates stood at 38.1195 liras to the US dollar, 43.5620 to the euro, and 50.5940 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,296.80, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.65 per barrel.
