Turkish stock exchange begins Tuesday down
BIST 100 index falls 28.66 points at Tuesday's open
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 10,669.47 points, down 0.27%, or 28.66 points, from the previous close.
On Monday, the BIST 100 climbed 1.25% to 10,698.13 points, with a daily transaction volume of 138.3 billion Turkish liras ($3.26 billion).
As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT) on Tuesday, exchange rates stood at 42.3460 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 49.1425 to the euro, and 55.7550 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,014.40, while Brent crude oil traded at $63.35 per barrel.
