Turkish stock exchange begins midweek up
BIST 100 index gains around 26.5 points at Wednesday's open

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 10,876.44 points, up 0.24%, or 26.48 points, from the previous close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 was down slightly by 0.03% at 10,849.96 points, with a daily transaction volume of 92 billion Turkish liras ($2.26 billion).
As of 10.30 am local time (0730GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.6695 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 47.1270 to the euro, and 54.1330 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,370.27, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68 per barrel.
