Turkey's Central Bank raises swap sale limits
Lenders’ limits to be 40 pct of their pre-determined FX and Banknotes Market transaction limit
ISTANBUL
Turkey's Central Bank on Thursday raised the transaction limit of total swap sales which have not matured in the Turkish lira currency swap market.
Lenders’ limits will be 40 percent of their pre-determined Foreign Exchange and Banknotes Market transaction limits, up from 30 percent for non-matured transactions, according to a Central Bank statement.
Last week, the limit was raised two times -- from 10 percent to 20 percent, and then to 30 percent.
